Biography

Mr. Mahbubul Alam, as the President, served the Chittagong Chamber of Commerce and Industry (CCCI) for five consecutive terms from 2013 to 2023. He transformed CCCI into a hub for Bangladesh’s industries and businessmen, focusing on Chittagong’s development as a global trade center.

His visionary leadership resulted in the construction of the World Trade Center in Chittagong, fostering trade and growth in the region.

Due to his professional and personal character, he has received a host of awards and certificates. Some of those key local Awards & Certificate are Commercial Important Person (CIP) Status as following;


CIP Trade:
1. CIP 2015received on 3rd September 2018 awarded by the Ministry of Commerce, GOB
2. CIP 2016 received on 18th December 2018 awarded by the Ministry of Commerce, GOB
3. CIP2017 received on 18th September 2019 awarded by the Ministry of Commerce, GOB
4. CIP2018 received on 20th January 2022 awarded by the Ministry of Commerce, GOB

He received a “Certificate of Merit” from the World Customs Organization signed by its Secretary General Dr. Kunio Mikuriya.
